The Ancient Codex is a reading site. It is built as static pages, and it is designed to collect as little about you as possible.
What we collect when you browse
Nothing that identifies you. The Codex sets no tracking cookies, runs no advertising, and uses no third-party analytics. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and request time) to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse; these are handled under the host's own policies.
What we collect when you contact us
If you email a correction or use the contact page, we receive the email address you send from and whatever you choose to tell us. We use that only to read, reply and act on your message. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to any mailing list.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you (in practice, only any correspondence), and ask us to correct or delete it via the contact page. If you are in the UK or EU and are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can also complain to your data-protection regulator (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).
